Yay Coffee Tech. Independent Coffee Engineering
Based in Scarborough, serving the Yorkshire area
Rob McFarlane, aka Yay Coffee Tech, is an independent coffee equipment engineer, and coffee professional with over 8 years of hands on experience in the speciality coffee industry.
With a rare combination of coffee business operation experience in a range of forms (owning both fixed premises and mobile), speciality coffee preparation and engineering skill, he’s transitioned away from running a coffee service business himself into engineering and supporting those who make coffee commercially & domestically, because that’s where his passion lies. He has been building a reputation for quality of product and coffee service since 2015 and he looks forward to supporting you in your coffee making journey!
We know what it’s like to need work done on your espresso equipment, and that things never seem to go wrong at a convenient time. We will do our absolute best to minimise disruption to your business, so you can crack on with serving brews as quickly as possible!
Engineering Services
Commercial coffee equipment repairs and servicing
Regular maintenance, much like a car service, really helps extend the life of your equipment.
As an approved engineer for Victoria Arduino, La Marzocco, Conti, SanRemo, Spaziale & Fracino,
with experience working on a broad range of other machines, Rob can conduct work under warranty,
annual servicing and repairs on many machines. We aim for a first time fix wherever possible,
and always aim to get you back up and running as soon as we can.
Commercial equipment breakdown callouts
Having run a shop ourselves we understand that down-time is dead money, and aim to get you sorted as soon as possible.
We don’t like to condemn machines unless it’s really necessary, so you can be sure that if we can help you fix it, and that’s going to be the most cost effective route for you, we’ll do what we can.
